When it comes to your wedding, you want to capture every moment of your magical day and preserve it in a time capsule. The senses are incorporated and thoroughly overwhelmed during a wedding; the SIGHT of loved ones gathering around for cherished photos, the SOUND of laughter roaring from the groomsman's speech, the distinguished TASTE of the food and especially the cake, and the feeling when you TOUCH the fabric on your wedding gown, but what about capturing the SMELL of your special day? The smell of something can immediately trigger a detailed memory or an intense emotion. Here at Evodia Fragrances, we turn memories into an everlasting euphoria.
Memories are often associated with the sense of smell and we want only the best for you and your special day!
September's name comes from the Latin word "septem", meaning "seven"; as it was originally the seventh out of ten months in the oldest known calendar, the calendar of Romulus c.750 BC. After the calendar reform that added January and February to the beginning of the year, September became the ninth month, but retained its name.
September is the month of transition. September is the month when football is back, we head back to Hogwarts (yay!), and pumpkin spice is back. (Although if you ask Chris, pumpkin spice was back in July). The weather is still hot at times, but it has cooled enough that the weather can be perfect for any indoor or outdoor wedding. Because the leaves have already started changing, bright colors are still present, but neutral tones can also make your wedding day shine.
Here at Evodia Fragrances, we only want the best for you. So no unpleasant aromas here. To capture every scent of Fall, Evodia Fragrances has over120 oils, and the euphoric aroma combinations we can create are endless!
Football is back
Close your eyes. Picture sitting in a stadium with thousands of other fans, ready to cheer on your favorite sports team; or even sitting in your favorite worn-in recliner, watching the game with your closest friends and family. What do you smell? (And no, I'm not talking about the overly sweaty fan sitting next to you; or if you ask Chris, the locker room smell after he snuck in.....creep). To us, football smells of freshly cut grass, leather, and your favorite game-day food. Nostalgia is the only word I can think of.
One example of our euphoric combinations include: A fresh, woodsy aroma with composed notes of Barbershop 1920 and Aspen Grass, this scent sparks the feeling of self-assuredness. Resonating notes of Musk, Leather, and Apple provide a wake of gameness. Fortifying notes of Dirt and Butterscotch Cookie Dough flow through, which bring forth valor.
Back to Hogwarts
Fall has started, so what does that mean? We're going back to Hogwarts! Even if you aren't a Harry Potter fan, you can at least appreciate all the wonders of the Wizarding World. (If you aren't a fan, we can't be friends anymore. Sorry I don't make the rules). Anyways, have you thought of what Hogwarts might smell like? (Don't come for me if it's not what you think)! To us, Hogwarts has a rich smoky scent from all the candles, the old books and pine desks bring a leathery, woody scent, and don't forget the enchanted lake & forbidden forest which probably smell like a wonderful floral musk. And as magical as the Wizarding World is, your wedding should be to! Check out our TikTok of this bride who received her Hogwarts acceptance letter and is doing a Harry Potter themed wedding this month; she created a custom Golden Snitch bottle and House Crest air fresheners with us!
One example of our euphoric combinations include: A woodsy, floral aroma with alluring notes of Amberwood Moss and Black Licorice, this scent restores enchantment. Magical notes of White Musk, Enchanted Orchid, and Roasted Oatmeal Stout provide a wake of attraction. Rejuvenating notes of Water Lily and Leather flow through, which bring forth charm.
Pumpkin Spice
Pumpkin spice is back so that means one of two things: you're either 100% for it, or 100% against it. There is no in-between. Well, here at Evodia, we are HUGE fans of a good old-fashioned PSL. (What is it about sipping down a pumpkin-spice latte that makes you want to bust out your sweaters, leggings and falling apart ugg boots)? Pumpkin spice smells earthy like nutmeg, spicy like cinnamon, and musky like pumpkin. No, this doesn't mean that you have to have psl's at your wedding for us to scent your day, but we wouldn't be upset either.
One example of our euphoric combinations include: A spicy, woodsy aroma with wary notes of Cinnamon and Caramel, this scent conveys warmth. Snuggly notes of Apple, Spiced Cider, and Pumpkin Patch provide a wake of the harvest. Golden notes of Clove and Creamy Nutmeg flow through, which bring forth memories.
September's Color of Everlasting Euphoria - Something Blue
Blue is the color of the sky, blueberries, and hibiscus bushes. Like September, blue is associated with freedom, intuition and imagination. The color itself is the color of trust and loyalty; it also has a calming and relaxing effect on our psyche, giving us peace while making us feel confident and secure. Feeling blue can also mean you're sad or unhappy, but the only tears we want to see are the joyous ones as you walk down the aisle to your happy ever after.
Fall is making its appearance in full swing, but it's not too cold to make your lips turn blue yet. However, less moisture in the air means fewer clouds in the sky, making the sky appear more vast and open, and its blue hue more pure. I'm sure you've heard the phrase "Something Old, Something New; Something Borrowed, Something Blue". Blue brings good luck to any bride even if it is not one of her main wedding colors. Before we transitioned to wearing white wedding gowns, it was tradition to wear a blue one on your special day. Blue on the bottom of your shoes is also a great way to feel a little luck taking each step toward your true love. Sapphire is the traditional birthstone for September, which represents faithfulness. The gemstone is typically used for royalty, but why shouldn't you feel like royalty on your special day too?
Regardless of your color palate, or your symbol for love; Evodia Fragrances will still create a bottle that complements your magical day! With over 20 colors and five bottle styles to choose from, you can create your perfect blend to capture the everlasting euphoria from your wedding.
Shown here is one example of Something Blue; a blend of Azure and Bleu De France, and in the Trapezoid bottle.
