August - How to Scent your Wedding for an Everlasting Euphoria

When it comes to your wedding, you want to capture every moment of your magical day and preserve it in a time capsule. The senses are incorporated and thoroughly overwhelmed during a wedding; the SIGHT of loved ones gathering around for cherished photos, the SOUND of laughter roaring from the groomsman's speech, the distinguished TASTE of the food and especially the cake, and the feeling when you TOUCH the fabric on your wedding gown, but what about capturing the SMELL of your special day? The smell of something can immediately trigger a detailed memory or an intense emotion. Here at Evodia Fragrances, we turn memories into an everlasting euphoria.

Memories are often associated with the sense of smell and we want only the best for you and your special day!

August was originally called "Sextilis", meaning "sixth month". It was renamed to August in 8 BCE to honor the first Roman emperor, Augustus Caesar. One intriguing fact about August is that it originally only had 30 days, while July, which was named after Julius Caesar, had 31 days. However, Augustus did not want his month to have fewer days than Julius Caesar’s month. So, he added a day to August, making it 31 days long, just like July. (Men and their small-dick complexes....and they say women are dramatic.)

When we think of August, we think of vacations coming to an end, kids going back to school (hallelujah), and bringing in the harvest to get ready for Fall. While it is still ungodly hot outside, the weather is perfect for any wedding celebration. Bright colors can still be found outside that would match any color combination you choose for your wedding. August is truly the perfect segway of Summer turning into Fall.

Here at Evodia Fragrances, we only want the best for you. So no unpleasant aromas here. To capture every scent of Summer, Evodia Fragrances has over120 oils, and the euphoric aroma combinations we can create are endless!

Ending of Vacations

  • To most people, vacations smell like the ocean air, sunscreen and an ice, cold drink in your hand while you lounge on the beach. But what does vacation smell like when it's coming to an end? Groups of tourists have left hotels, beaches, and the like deserted and all that is left are the remnants of good times floating in the wind. To us, vacation ending still smells of crisp beach air; but the sunscreen has long melted off our newly tanned skin, (or burnt like mine) and has left a subtle citrusy scent, which brings us into our reminiscing.

    • One example of our euphoric combinations include: A fruity, floral aroma with rejuvenating notes of Sun & Sand and Water Lily, this scent sparks the feeling of wistfulness. Lingering notes of Cucumber Melon, Bali Mango, and Apricot & Peach provide a wake of festiveness. Stimulating notes of Spa and Lemon flow through, which bring forth optimism.

Kids Going Back to School

  • It's August, and we all know what that means; the kids are FINALLY going back to school. Whether you're still in school or have been out for decades, most likely you can still remember the smells of walking down the hallway or sitting in your favorite classroom. A pencil being shaved down by a sharpener, erasers grinding into the paper as it fixes your mistake, or even your super-old fourth grade teachers way-too-overpowering perfume. Despite some of the more negative aspects of your nostalgia, we want your reminiscing to consist of only the good.

    • One example of our euphoric combinations include: A fruity, woodsy aroma with familiar notes of Apple and Amberwood Moss, this scent stimulates glee. Lingering notes of Woodland Bay, Orange, and Warm Rustic Woods provide a wake of serene. Refreshing notes of Rose and Strawberry flow through, which bring forth zeal.

Harvesting Crops

  • Fall allergies have started hitting the air, but that means that it is fresh, sweet corn season as it is harvested to be sold (yum). Not just corn stalks are being harvested, but all crops; as farmers get ready for the colder months. To us normies, harvesting crops might make you think of only dirt and bugs, leaving an unpleasant aroma. But I like to think it smells of heavy spice, the midday sun warming the soil in a rich aroma, and the hearty crops leaving a sweet bouquet of rich, musky perfumes.

    • One example of our euphoric combinations include: A fruity, spicy aroma with brisk notes of Agarwood and Cranberry, this scent delivers leisure. Cozy notes of Portuguese Pomelo, Aspen Grass, and Bergamot provide a touch of thrill. Earthy notes of Sunflower and Dirt flow through, which bring forth bliss.

August's Color of Everlasting Euphoria - Endless Summer Yellow

Yellow is the color of the sun, comical smiley faces, and some flowers. Like August, it is a color that is youthful and fun and represents optimism and happiness. Brighter shades represent the sunshine of summer, cheerfulness, and wisdom. Light, buttery shades mean warmth, hope and spring. But no matter what shade or shades you want for your wedding, you can rest assured knowing that all shades of yellow will grab the attention of everyone.

What feels like an endless summer of warmth, laugher, and longer days, fall is starting to make its appearance in August. But to end summer with one big finale, yellow is in high abundance of everything; making yellow the perfect color accessory for a wedding summer celebration. Its cheerful hue encourages upbeat feelings of confidence and joy. It’s a vibrant, eye-catching color that will bring a smile to your face and encourage you to enjoy life’s little moments. With its cheerful hues, it will sure bring a ray of sunshine to any occasion. If you want to stick to the traditional birthstone color, Peridot, for your wedding color, the color represents good fortune, prosperity, emotional healing, and playfulness. This will always remind you to enjoy the little things in life.

Regardless of your color palate, or your symbol for love; Evodia Fragrances will still create a bottle that complements your magical day! With over 20 colors and five bottle styles to choose from, you can create your perfect blend to capture the everlasting euphoria from your wedding.

Shown here is one example of Endless Summer Yellow; a blend of Aureolin Yellow and Tiger Orange, and in the Circle bottle.
